Lilco Studio is a creative studio run by Lily Smith-Kirkley in Dallas, Texas, servicing clients across the country.

Lily is a multi-faceted designer, illustrator, and image maker. She’s both a maximalist and a minimalist, a perfectionist and an embracer of the flawed. She utilizes both modern and analog technologies — seeking the best solution. This push and pull is what makes Lily great at what she does. She’s detail-oriented while seeing the big picture. She can get lost in a project and meet every deadline. Her creative endeavors span many disciplines, making her a valued collaborator and creative partner.

Lilco Studio is a nimble team that can grow to meet the needs of any project. Through long-term relationships with creative collaborators, they can handle anything from naming and marketing copy to long-form copywriting, front-end and back-end web development, and studio and on-site photography.

In addition to running Lilco Studio, Lily is Co-Director of ICON The Illustration Conference. Every two years, ICON is held in a different US city for a creative free-for-all. As Co-Director, Lily works closely with fellow Directors, Mark Heflin and Steven Compton and an all-volunteer board of directors to plan, budget and execute the only gathering dedicated entirely to illustration and the people who live and breathe it.
