Angered by the passing of SB8—the anti-abortion law in Texas—I created a protest poster. Folks could download a free DIY sign or purchase their choice of a letterpress-printed poster, screen-printed T-shirt, or postcard. The piece raised $22,000 for Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas.
At a protest in Austin, I was humbled to see lots of people carrying the protest sign. Friends and family at other events also sent images of people carrying or wearing the design.
A photojournalist for Reuters also captured an image of me and some friends that made its way into the media—including the Rachel Maddow show.
